🎶 Lord, you have come to the seashore

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, you came to meet your disciples at the seashore.
You, the risen Lord met your friends where they were.
Loving God in this our time of difficulty, worry and distress may the risen Christ meet with us. Where we are. Here and now.
Loving Christ help us to recognise you as you call us.
Help us to recognise you in the loving care and kindness of others
Help us to recognise you in the people we meet.
May others recognise you in us, that they might know we are your disciples by our love for them.
God of creation, you are the source of all life. Hear the cries of your children all around the world we pray.
Bring comfort and peace into the lives of all who suffer this day.
Those who live in fear of bullet or bomb, of oppression and injustice.
Here in our own community and in the world community be with all those who suffer due to the virus.
Comfort the sick and dying, strengthen those who mourn the lost.
Lord Jesus bless all who work to heal, help and care for those in need and seek to keep us save
By putting themselves in harms way.
Lord give them courage in the difficult journey ahead.
Guide those in power and authority to make the right decisions for the welfare of all.
Father in a moment of silence so we bring you our prayers.
And now we say together the prayer that Christ taught to say as a family

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
And deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
