PRAYER

Lord of all things both great and small
Hear the prayers of your children this day.
Lord Jesus Christ in your name we share in this time
Of worship and praise.
Jesus time and time again you accepted the hospitality of others,
With Zaccheus, tax collectors and others.
While others looked on and complained you identified
With the lost and rejected.
You teach us to love the stranger as we would ourselves.
To share what we have with those not know to us
So that you may be made know as in the road to Emmaus.
Lord help as your church to welcome all
that they may know that they belong
and among your children they will acceptance and love.
Loving God enable us to break down the barriers of suspicion and hate
To create bridges of love.

You Lord are the living water who comes to cleanse the world
You Lord are the living water who comes to give sustenance to all.
Through you lord Jesus help us to heal the brokenness of this world.
By the power of your Holy Spirit Lord
guide your Church that it may be the living embodiment of your grace
where all are welcome and no-one is a stranger

Gracious father you know the suffering endured by all at this difficult time
You hear the cries of the lonely
The despair of the sick
The pain of the dying
The grief of the bereaved
Lord do not be a stranger to them, surround them with your love
Be with the worried and upset
Those who seek to care and meet the need of others
Be with those who society deems the least
That they may know that to you they do matter.

To you Living God we raise our hearts and voices in thanksgiving
For family and friends
Neighbours and strangers
Those known to us and those who are not.
For all life we praise you now and for ever.
To you God always three and always one
We offer these our prayers.

Hear us now as a family we pray:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours,
now and for ever.
Amen.
