Welcome to Old Gourock & Ashton Parish Church. This website captures the story of a busy, vibrant, and deeply caring Church of Scotland Parish.
We are currently celebrating 250 years of Christian witness here in Gourock. It is a remarkable journey that began all the way back in 1776 and leads us directly to where we stand today, in 2026. While ministers, church names, and generations naturally change over time, our Parish remains a constant, reassuring presence in the heart of the community.
We are dedicated to walking alongside our neighbours, actively sharing in community life, and preaching a Gospel of Hope, Grace, and Love.
To support this mission, our church operates under a Unitary Constitution. This means our congregation and elected Ruling Elders work hand-in-hand to oversee both the spiritual life of our church and our local financial and property matters, ensuring everything we do serves our mission well.
OGA is truly a community-focused church. No matter who you are, where you are from, or where you find yourself on your journey of faith, please know that everyone is welcome here.
